The RoHs directive also requires applicable products to have RoHS compliant labels and bans all new electronic equipment sold in Europe after July 1, 2006 from containing the previously mentioned hazardous materials. Through increased recycling of EEE products, Kern will help limit the total quantity of waste going to final disposal, which will avoid contributing to increasing amounts of waste being added to landfills and ultimately our environment. The RoHs Certification will eliminate Kern's risk of non-compliance to global and national restricted substances regulations. Kern will also be able to use the RoHS ceritified mark on all Kern products, within the user manual, and on the product, thus providing authenticity of the certification.
Finally, certification will provide Kern with the training to resolve potentially harmful effects to the environment that may occur in the future. Not only does this certification prove that Kern complies with the ecological standards set by the EU, but it also displays Kern’s personal interest in the protection of the environment.
From our offices in Grove City, Ohio to sites where we have technicians stationed throughout the United States and Canada, Kern employees actively participate in our committment to sustainability.
